What You'll Do
Working within our SIL (Supported Independant Living) homes, you will support people with disabilities to live as independently as possible. Your key duties will include:
- Helping people achieve their NDIS goals by developing daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting.
- Assisting with personal care as required, meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community connections.
- Supporting daily activities, such as going for walks, attending movies, or accompanying appointments.
- Helping maintain connections with family, friends, and services.
What We Look For
- Experience and empathy in providing high-quality support in a SIL environment or with complex disabilities while fostering independence for clients.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks.
- Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
- Good computer skills and experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Preferred but not essential: Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability).
Required Clearances
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work).
- Open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance.
