A little bit about the role...

Endeavour Foundation is a member of Charitable Recycling Australia (CRA) which promotes the impact of the charitable reuse, recycling and retail sector. As our Shift Supervisor, you will lead a small team and coordinate the day to day recycling and functions of the facility, you will also:

  • Provide full supervision and leadership over all staff at the site during the relevant shift to ensure all objectives are met
  • Understand recycling operations, recognise recyclable items and embrace the need to reduce landfill.
  • You have experience using MS Office i.e. Excel, Word etc. to provide information and reports to site and operation managers
  • Liaise with Endeavour Recycle Manager to assist contractors, external suppliers and/or council or government representatives as required to ensure their requests are met

What will you bring to the role?

  • Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team
  • Physically fit due to the demands of the role
  • Experience supervising a small team 
  • A high level of Workplace Health & Safety knowledge and be vigilant of risks and hazards at all times 
  • A Manual drivers License (essential)
  • Hold a current/Willing to obtain a Forklift Ticket and Backhoe competency
  • Must have CPR and First Aid
  • Experience in Waste Management and Customer Service
  • Ability to work every second weekend on a set roster
