Employment Coach / Production Team Leader

Endeavour Foundation Industries operations provides employment opportunities for people with a disability who want to achieve personal employment goals aligned to their NDIS plans. Endeavour Foundation’s Work Portfolio operates over 30 commercial operations across the Eastern seaboard, covering a diverse product mix, predominantly in Packaging (food, general, pharmaceuticals), Document Destruction, Recycling and Manufacturing to commercial customers.

About the role

As an Employment Coach / Production Team Leader you will take a person-centred approach, demonstrating empathy and patience while balancing the need to meet commercial outcomes and quality assurance. Responsibilities will include:

• Supervising, motivating and encouraging employees while understanding and developing individual capabilities 
• Liaising with management to ensure outcomes and deadlines are met 
• Overseeing product quality
• Engaging in the manufacturing process ensuring appropriate set up, production and shut down of equipment
• Applying quality controls during the manufacturing process to ensure production and quality are in-line with the customer requirements

What you will bring to the role:

• A manufacturing/production or retail background,
• You must comfortable operating machinery and production equipment,,
• Experience supervising a small production team, 
• Disability services experience or knowledge would be beneficial,
• You are a true people person who is passionate, patient, empathetic and resilient, 
• Coaching and mentoring skills to help guide employees through their daily tasks and empower them to live their best lives,
• Physically fit due to the demands of the role,
• Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team,
• Moderate skills with MS Office applications,
• Forklift ticket desirable. 

Please note, should you be successful, before commencing with Endeavour Foundation, you will be required to hold or undertake a a Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and a "Fit2Work" National Criminal History Check.
