About The Role
The Commercial Business Partner will play a pivotal role in delivering critical financial guidance to Executives and Leaders within our Work division. This role will be responsible for driving business performance through effective financial management, commercial decision-making support, ensuring data integrity and delivering actionable insights to support the achievement of strategic goals. Duties include:
- Coordinate the division’s budgeting process, ensuring the preparation of detailed and well summarised budgets that align with strategic goals and financial sustainability objectives.
- Coordinate financial forecasting activities and ensure thorough analysis of variances between actuals and budgets.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports and the analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into key financial metrics to support strategic decision making.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain data integrity in financial reports, analyses, and forecasts.
- Assist in improving processes, implementing new systems and driving process changes to enhance business outcomes and financial integrity.
- Provide financial modelling and commercial decision making support for strategic initiatives and project investment requests
- Undertake pricing analysis and modelling to inform financial decisions.
About You
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, within a multi-site organisation.
- Experience in manufacturing with ERP inventory control, Bills of Material/Product costing is highly desirable.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to deliver financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience and competency in accounting software packages including Dynamic AX and the Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Leadership experience is highly desirable.
