Make an Impact- About this role:
As the Team Leader in the Community division with NDVR, you will oversee the People we support with a disability and the Activity Program for the Learning and Lifestyle Community Centre. In this role, you will guide your team in assisting clients according to their NDIS plans and goals. You will ensure a person-centred environment where support worker employees can identify and solve problems within their delegation to ensure the personalised planning process translates into action.
Day to day you will be hands-on engaging with the people we support that attend the Community Hub based in Toowoomba. You will be role modelling a ‘person centred approach’ to the team of 15 support workers and overseeing positive behaviour plans with engaging interactions.
Other key duties will include:
- Model safety leadership by demonstrating a positive safety culture and commitment to person centred service delivery.
- Lead the resolution of escalations and concerns from families/carers/advocates for clients.
- Monitor quality assurance through reviewing client files and actioning outstanding documentation.
- Review rosters, leave, timesheets and performance of Support Workers ensuring adherence to Endeavour Foundation policies.
- Foster a supportive and respectful community-centric environment incorporating the interests of families, guardians and other key client representatives
- Create a well-balanced team culture, embracing and respecting the need to deliver high-quality and commercially viable human services, and maintaining the focus on Endeavour Foundation’s clients.
- Develop programs and activities that encompass the individual needs of clients to ensure the achievement of NDIS plan goals.
- Manage financial performance of the service sites through effective management of operating expenditure, in line with organisational budgets.
What you can bring to the team:
- At least 3 years’ experience working in leadership roles within the disability sector.
- Certificate III or Diploma in Individual Support or Community Service - Advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent tertiary education - Desirable.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team to achieve performance targets and KPI’s.
- Proficiency in using current MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Employee Self Service programs, and communication technologies.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
