Make an Impact
As the Senior Shift Supervisor in Warwick, you will lead the waste and recycling facility team, overseeing operations, recycling, and retail functions to meet Endeavour’s contractual and commercial goals. You’ll play a key role in promoting safety, ensuring excellent customer service, supporting employee development, and optimising facility performance.
In this role you will:
- Provide training and assistance to team members, ensuring optimal service standards and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment.
- Supervise weighbridge operations, ensuring that data capture meets legislative and contractual requirements.
- Understand recycling operations, recognise recyclable items and embrace the need to reduce landfill.
- Liaise with the Recycling Manager to assist contractors, external suppliers and/or council or government representatives as required to ensure their requests are met.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, policies and continuous improvement processes to uphold high standards and drive operational efficiency.
- Manage traffic, environmental, and safety plans at the local level to ensure staff operate within required boundaries and maintain a safe workplace.
- Develop and manage staff rosters, ensuring resource availability aligns with business needs.
- Document activities accurately and maintain accounting information to ensure a reliable audit trail and efficient record-keeping.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices for accurate and secure transactions.
What you can bring to the team
- Certificate IV in Asset Management (Waste Management) and or a willingness to complete (desirable).
- Knowledge of weighbridge operations and operating systems (desirable).
- Supervisory experience in a recycling or similar environment where contractual requirements are required to be met, leading a team to meet targets.
- Experience within an operational role with a focus on safety, efficiency and customer service excellence.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team, manager and customers.
- Availability to respond to escalations on alternating weekends, if required.
