About this Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Disability Portfolio Manager to lead our Home services in the Mackay and Whitsundays region. You will guide your teams to assist clients according to their NDIS plans and goals, with our services operating 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. This key role involves not only overseeing operations but also guiding and motivating your dedicated teams.

In this role you will be involved with the operational and overseeing the day to day of the home division of Mackay and Whitsundays region. This Includes the In-Home & Mobile Services, and SIL Houses.  This role also links closely with the Community Division, and you will work side by side to support the full cohort of our clients within this region. This role can be located either in Mackay and travel would be required within this Mackay and Whitsundays region on regular basis.

You will create and maintain a person-centred environment where your team will identify and solve problems to ensure that the people we are supporting are living their best lives and fulfilling their personal and other goals.

Prior experience within the Disability Sector or similar would be desirable along with bachelor’s degree in human services.

Other duties will include:

• Maintaining knowledge of Endeavour Foundation’s full suite of service offerings and implement strategies to identify and maximise opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
• Leading, guiding and supporting direct reports in the resolution of escalations and concerns from families/carers/advocates.
• Developing and retaining a qualified workforce within the Portfolio to ensure teams are committed to person-centric supports, social inclusion, and establishing a professional relationship with individuals.
• Building the portfolio as a centre of excellence in the provision of disability accommodation services.
• Encouraging innovative and integrated approaches to improving the quality of service and streamlining work processes.

What you will bring to the role

• Minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the National Standards Disability Services and Quality & Safeguarding Framework, funding and organisational structure.
• Minimum 2 years proven experience successfully managing a diverse team.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching individuals to provide person centred supports, including to people with complex requirements to achieve set outcomes and desired behaviours within the workplace.
• Experience with successfully managing site-based services within a related industry, such as the Disability Sector.
• Outstanding phone manner and ability to be contactable in emergency/crisis situations within standard business operating hours.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
