Make an Impact
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employee Experience Lead, located at our Support Centre in Cannon Hill. The role supports people with barriers to employment to succeed and grow in their careers. This will be achieved through the implementation of person-centred, rights-based support strategies designed to ensure employee safety, psychosocial wellbeing and professional success.
We are seeking a trusted advisor to our leadership team and work sites, with expertise in handling complex cases, providing person-centred technical guidance, and supporting behavioural needs. The ideal candidate will have a social work background, strong influencing skills, and the ability to manage their own wellbeing while engaging with challenging and complex risk management cases daily.
To be successful you will need to possess knowledge of appropriate positive behaviour support practices, legislation, guidelines, and frameworks, and apply them to the provision of direct and indirect supports to clients to ensure the highest level of practice is achieved and maintained.
Key duties of the role will include:
- Lead and coach frontline staff, leaders, and the broader workforce in positive behaviour support, helping to build their skills and capacity for continuous improvement.
- Work with key stakeholders across the organisation to develop and implement an Employee Safeguarding Framework that articulates and promotes the rights and responsibilities of the employees that we support - as clients, as employees, and as NDIS participants.
- Lead efforts to reduce the incidence and impact of workplace violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation and mental health-linked issues through targeted measures.
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop an inclusive Learning, Leadership and Professional Development strategy.
- Champion initiatives that ensure safe, inclusive, and respectful work environments, acting as the key subject matter expert in safeguarding and behavioural support, providing expert analysis and practical advice on complex cases of violence, abuse, and neglect to ensure appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with teams to create and implement a robust professional development strategy, offering employees opportunities for growth through education, leadership pathways, and targeted training in behavioural support.
- Oversee the implementation and review of behaviour support plans, ensuring compliance with restrictive practice regulations, and contribute to mandatory reporting and internal monitoring of behaviours and safeguarding measures.
What you can bring to the team:
- A Tertiary qualification in allied health fields such as Behavioural Science, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work is required.
- Previous experience in Disability Support, Social Work, Child Protection, Adult Education, Supported Employment, or a similar field.
- A thorough understanding of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation (VANE)-related matters.
- Previous experience of trauma-informed care will be highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable working with employee safety and wellbeing software systems, such as RiskMan.
- Knowledge of, and ability to work within, relevant legislation and guidelines specific to service delivery in the program area.
- Solid understanding of NDIS standards and practices, ensuring compliance with legislative and reporting requirements.
You will be required to undertake a "Fit2Work" National Criminal History Check and hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
