You will provide personal care and household support in home and where required transport our customers into the community for appointments and activities.Role specifics: x 7 Permanent part time roles supporting customers in our accommodation services for 20/30 hours a fortnight minimumExtra rostered hours where availableSupport includes all aspects of assisting customers with Personal Care and who utilise mobility aidsRequired for day shifts, afternoon shifts, weekend shifts, community access, sleepovers, active awake shiftsExperience supporting customers with complex health needs and challenging behavioursSeizure Management experienceManual Handling (hoist use)Understanding of Restrictive Practices What are the requirements to become a Support Worker? What can I expect in a typical day working as a Support Worker?

  • Extra rostered hours where available
  • Support includes all aspects of assisting customers with Personal Care and who utilise mobility aids
  • Required for day shifts, afternoon shifts, weekend shifts, community access, sleepovers, active awake shifts
  • Experience supporting customers with complex health needs and challenging behaviours
  • Seizure Management experience
  • Manual Handling (hoist use)
    Understanding of Restrictive Practices

     

What are the requirements to become a Support Worker?

  • Current National Criminal History check

  • Ability to transport our customers into the community
  • Prior experience working or interacting with people with a disability

  • Proactive, energetic and passionate about making a difference everyday!
